If you’re a fellow math-geek, you’ll love this documentary. It investigates the possibility that Archimedes actually discovered the method of dividing up a shape into infinite slices to guess its area and/or volume (in other words, the foundations of calculus) over a thousand years before Newton and Leibniz. It’s really fascinating stuff and changed my whole perception of the ancient Greeks’ influence on mathematics.
